There have been moon photos which celebrate all kinds of unusual love affairs, but this one seems to beat them all, portraying a love story between a man and a celestial body. Two Russian artists, Leonid Tishkov and Boris Bendikov, collaborated on this project called “Private Moon”, creating a series of intriguing and romantic pictures of a man coming across a human-sized moon, and gradually falling in love with it. Tishkov designed the sets and Bendikov made the beautiful photographs, bringing this fairy tale to life.
The story starts when a man stumbles upon the moon in the most unusual places – on a snow covered roof, in the attic or in his garage. At first, he’s shocked and bewildered by his discovery, but as time passes he develops a strange infatuation with the moon and they become inseparable, going on adventures together and even sharing the same bed. These moon photos are incredibly captivating, with the magic of love and the amazing night landscapes rolled into one, telling a story of love in a way it’s never been told before.
